Zone Conference

Hey guys! This week has been really good. It was a hard week for missionary work, but socially for me, it was a good week. We had Zone Conference on Wednesday up in Peachtree city. I saw 3 people who were in my MTC district there. It was much needed. I was missing them. I have been going through my google photos and was reminiscing on the good times I had in the mtc. I miss everyone!

Since we spent all day Wednesday driving and also zone conference we weren't really finding people. We had to lock in because our goal was finding and teaching 9 new people. Well, on Thursday morning , we found one person. So we locked in and clutched up and found 10 people. I would blame that on me being more obedient.

We have this really cool guy named Ashton. Ashton is dating a member named Lisa. Lisa lives in Orem, Utah! They found each other on Facebook dating. 😬 sketch. Lisa's sister, Lexi, is serving a mission in Alabama! Lexi sent us a request to visit Ashton. She got Ashton’s address from Lisa. Lisa and Ashton didn't know her intentions to sending him to us. We called Lexi, and she told us not to say anything about the request. So we knock on his door and invite him to church and ask if he is interested in meeting with us. He agreed and told us everything we already knew. To this day, he still doesn't know Lexi sent us to him. We will tell him soon because I'm feeling bad, lol. He is preparing to be baptized! He is praying for a day that he should be baptized, and we will find out tomorrow what date he picked!

A funny story that happened this week: We got a referral from elders in Atlanta about this guy who is moving to Americus. We start chatting over the phone, and he invites us to pray with him at his place. He is living in the Days Inn motel. So we go to his room, and he has Deadpool playing on his TV and Music playing on his laptop. We start talking to him and get to know him. He has a child, and he doesn't see her often bc he has beef with baby mama. Classic Georgia. So after he talked, we said a prayer with him. While Elder Ertmann was praying, he asked God to help our friend have a better relationship with baby momma. He starts saying, " Uhh God, I love you, but please don't. I love you so much, but please dont. " I wanted to die laughing. People here are so blunt, and it's so funny.

Spiritual thought:

2 Nephi 32:3

"Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do."

I love this verse specifically for when it says "feast upon the words of Christ" I like to imagine myself at Cracker Barrel stuffing my face when I hear feast. But when I hear "feast upon the words of Christ" I think going to church, studying the scriptures, and praying. I also like this verse because we can all do it. Anyone in the world can "feast upon the words of Christ" Are you feasting? Or are you snacking? It's just a good thing to think about and ask yourself.

Love you guys so much! Please email me back.
