Elder C in the ATL

Hey, yall!    Dang, this week has been longgggg🧟‍♂️. We had transfers this week, and i lost elder duda😭 My new companion is Elder Moyo! He is from Zimbabwe! He is very hard working! It's crazy because my last companion was younger than Brinley, and now my new companion is older than Ethan!    The only downside of having an African companion is that he is already used to the heat. So he got us out here in 95⁰ weather knocking doors. It literally sucks🤣. But hopefully we'll have fruits from it. Might be a trip to the doctor for a heat stroke🪦   We were knocking this door of this lady named Gwen. They said she wasn't home, so we continued to go around the neighborhood. We see this lady in a walker yelling at absolutely nobody, so I went up to see what's up. Turns out she was Gwen. She gave us 2 Dr. Peppers that she kept frozen in her walking seat. Then she talked for about 30 minutes about so many random things. Then she told us she's a paranoid schizophrenia. ...

Hey guys! Sorry for no email last week. We were fishing all day in the rain. But now I'm writing this the night before so I can make sure to do it.   We went to this temple on Tuesday with the Carmens! It was awesome! We ran into so many of our members.  They really liked it, and of course, we hit up Chuys for lunch. Both places are Heavenly. 🌟 Going back to the big city really made me miss it. Downtown ATL holds amazing memories.   This week has been really good. We have amazing friends, but they either live 30 minutes away or an hour. We got 2 of them to church last week even tho how far they live from the Church. Mega dubs   Elder Duda and I gave a talk this week. Our topic was about inviting people to a family home evening. They were really good. The Spanish elders were supposed to do it, but they said they didn't have a testimony of FHE, so they declined🫩🫩 So that made us do it. We also had a hot dog linger longer. What's up guys!    This week has been really good. Carmen and her mom Camen got baptized on Sunday! We just call them Carmen Jr and Carmen Sr. They have been taught since 2021! I'm so grateful my comp and I were able to finally get them baptized!    We had a lot of funny lessons and have good friends. We are trynna sift through the people to find who is actually next.    One lesson we had with this guy. He has been to church often in the past. He hasn't been talked to in a year so we went to visit him. He was telling us how he quit his drinking. But he did it by replacing them with pills. Then he starts swatting away imaginary flies. I side eye my comp then we just die laughing. That guy was so hilarious.   We had another funny lesson with a different old man Philip. Philip has been taught for years but his health has been bad so he hasn't been able to get baptized. We had to go over this week because I forgot my Book of Mormon there last week. So we g...

ALRIGHT GUYS. BUCKLE IN. THIS WAS AN INSANE AND SAD WEEK.   Sorry I didn't email last week. I was super busy being a background character in a movie. But let's start off.   Transfers were last week. Sadly, Elder Sherwood and I both got transferred out of our area. 🥲 On Tuesday, I got the news that I was headed to go to Fayetteville for the day on Wednesday. So I packed all my stuff and said goodbye to all our friends.    On Wednesday, we met up with the Fayetteville ZLs, and I spent the day with them. It was Elder Tricky and Elder Marriott. It was actually so fun. They are such good elders. During one of our lessons, we were teaching this guy named Bill. Bill was a pastor but is now trying to join our church. Elder Tricky and Elder Marriott were doing all the talking. I was just there for the day. But Bill stopped Elder Tricky and told him that sometimes he gotta shut up. It was actually hilarious. Hey guys! This week has literally been super great! But with Georgia, there is always a crazy day in that week.    I went on an exchange on Tuesday with my zone leader, Elder Bailey. We found some really cool people! But I was dead the whole exchange, so I can't really remember what happened. All I know is I just went to bed at 8:30 and he had a pic of me from my Google pics and bro isn't even in my Google pics so who's the rat sending my pics out across the mission❓️ as soon as I find out who you are, trust you will be delt with.   THEN WEDNESDAY WAS OUR CRAZY DAY. So we pull up to our lesson with Davitra. She is in her car with Byron, so we just do our lesson out there. During the lesson so kids come out who are members, and they start playing with the other neighborhood kids. WELL, THIS ONE KID COMES OVER CUSSING UP A STORM. Hey guys! This week has low-key been, eh numbers wise. But it has been really fun!     We started the week having interviews with President Cox. It was very good! We were the last companionship to be interviewed, so we were there for a long time waiting for the interviews to be over. But that means we spend more time talking to Sister Cox.    Throughout the week, we've just had lessons and service. All the visits that we planned didn't answer.    We had an amazing lesson with our friend Jazreal! It was a longgg lesson because he had so many questions. We taught him so much, and he eventually put him on date to be baptized!    The service we have been doing is helping our new members get new furniture and they can't lift anything so we had to do all the work. We had to drive 30 minutes to a storage unit, then load things up, then drive 30 minutes to drop them off. And we did they for 2 days. Then another day we went over and helped her clear a...
