ALRIGHT GUYS. BUCKLE IN. THIS WAS AN INSANE AND SAD WEEK.
Sorry I didn't email last week. I was super busy being a background character in a movie. But let's start off.
Transfers were last week. Sadly, Elder Sherwood and I both got transferred out of our area. 🥲 On Tuesday, I got the news that I was headed to go to Fayetteville for the day on Wednesday. So I packed all my stuff and said goodbye to all our friends.
On Wednesday, we met up with the Fayetteville ZLs, and I spent the day with them. It was Elder Tricky and Elder Marriott. It was actually so fun. They are such good elders. During one of our lessons, we were teaching this guy named Bill. Bill was a pastor but is now trying to join our church. Elder Tricky and Elder Marriott were doing all the talking. I was just there for the day. But Bill stopped Elder Tricky and told him that sometimes he gotta shut up. It was actually hilarious. I even got it on video. I'll put in it my pics.
So after I spent the day Wednesday with Elder Tricky and Elder Marriott, we drove to transfers. I saw all my buddies. It was so amazing bc half the mission was there!!
TRANSFER NEWS:
Welp, I am now in Lanett, Alabama. It is very similar to Americus but Americus still on top, tho. I am in a small branch with ab 20 active members in it. I am also training a new missionary again. His name is Elder Duda from Queen Creek, AZ. He is a really good missionary. I miss Elder Sherwood tho😢 #SeeYouSoonConnor
I got to our new apt, and it was absolutely disgusting. So I had to spend the last few days cleaning up their messes. One of the elders who left also left half of his stuff. be so frl
ZONE COUNCIL:
So the day after transfers, Friday, we had zone council. It was an amazing council. I was sad, tho because I barely know anyone in this zone. But I just gotta make new friends here.
INTERVIEWS:
Now, the day after Zone Council, I had my interview with president. It was very comforting. He basically told me everything, like why im in Lanett, why im with my companion, and why im in my apt. It was awesome, and I'm excited to get this ball rolling.
LANETT:
Lanett is great. My companion and I put our friend Ceilia on date for baptism on Father's Day. It was an amazing lesson, and we were just talking about all the blessings she will receive when baptized.
We have found so many amazing people this week. Everyone wanted to hear a scripture! Except for the people at Walmart, but that's okay.
We should have 2 baptisms next Sunday. A mom and a daughter. Both of their names are Carmen, so that's pretty funny. They are so prepped. They have been getting taught for years, but now they are ready for the Covenant!
