What's up guys!
This week has been really good. Carmen and her mom Camen got baptized on Sunday! We just call them Carmen Jr and Carmen Sr. They have been taught since 2021! I'm so grateful my comp and I were able to finally get them baptized!
We had a lot of funny lessons and have good friends. We are trynna sift through the people to find who is actually next.
One lesson we had with this guy. He has been to church often in the past. He hasn't been talked to in a year so we went to visit him. He was telling us how he quit his drinking. But he did it by replacing them with pills. Then he starts swatting away imaginary flies. I side eye my comp then we just die laughing. That guy was so hilarious.
We had another funny lesson with a different old man Philip. Philip has been taught for years but his health has been bad so he hasn't been able to get baptized. We had to go over this week because I forgot my Book of Mormon there last week. So we go and visit him trying not to stay long so I told my comp we arent gonna sit. Welp Philip begs us to sit so then I share a scripture with him. As im reading the scripture he rolls from across the room, right in front of my legs. I look at my comp and he is red from trying not to laugh so I start busting out laughing too. Let's just say we laughed a lot this week and i need to lock in.
We have zone conference this week and its the mission tour with Elder Aroldo B. Cavalcante of the Seventy. It will be great to see missionaries i haven't seen in a bit and also receive some good guidance from Elder Cavalcante!
