Seaweed and Teslas


Hey guys! This week has been good and bad.  This was the last full week before transfers. We get transfer news on Tuesday!
Also, my new favorite thing rn is choosing random missionaries and sending my email to them just bc I'm bored. 
 
We went on exchanges this week. I went to Mableton 3s area with Elder Berrett. It was very fun. We just talked about random things. We have the same sense of humor so it was very funny. We also went to an Asian supermarket and it was awesome. They had such cool things for so cheap. Tried some spicy seaweed. It was gross.  Valid exchange frl. 
 
A bad part of our week was that Marlo, one of our most progressing friends, got a new job and works every Sunday. So now he can't come to church anymore which sucks. But he said he still wants to meet with us, so that's lit. 
 
Elder Berrett and I talk about Tesla all the time. Well, we were at a church for a church tour and there was a member there with a Tesla. So while we were waiting for our friend he was driving us around the church parking lot. It was sweet. 
 
On Sunday we had a really funny member meal. We went to this member's house and her dad was there. Whenever we talked about anything he would bring politics into it. It was the funniest thing. One missionary is talking about how he's from Wyoming then after that the dad is talking about the January 6th capital thing. Not sure how he connected them but he did. I wish I could do that with the gospel. 
 
Spiritual thought: 
 
2 Nephi 2:2 Nevertheless, Jacob, my firstborn in the wilderness, thou knowest the greatness of God; and he shall consecrate thine afflictions for thy gain.
 
This reminds me of a quote by Richard G Scott that says, " When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more."
 
Through all are bad times, we will grow from them. The Lord knows how much we can handle. He doesn't give us things that will break us but he will stretch us. Then we have the experience to know how to overcome then again type stuff yn?
