"Be still, and Know that I am God"

Wsp guys!

This week I'm going to lock in on this email and get it done on time since I haven't for a bit.

This week has been good! We had a hard time at the beginning of the week finding people to teach. This was because our finding time was cut short.

This Tuesday was very fun! We helped this old man with his lawn. He had weeds growing in his flower beds that we helped with. We spent probably 3.5 hours at his house. It was the perfect day because it was cooler than all over days #TenderMercies. He also fed us some Publix Subs. They were so buss🤤🤤

Thursday we had a multi-zone conference with Elder Craig C. Christensen. It was such an inspiring meeting. I also got to see a lot of my friends! Shout out Sister Larson, Diaz, and Gough‼️‼️‼️

I ALSO SAW THE SUGDENS!! THEY ARE THE SENIOR MISSIONARIES IN AMERICUS. MAN, I MISS THEM TOO MUCH. Jelly that @ElderPettingill gets to be in their district again. #fomo

Elder Ballard and I took the invitation at the Zone Conference and put it into our work. We then found SEVEN people on Friday! They are all sooooo cool! We prayed and prayed and prayed for this and we were blessed! God is Good🙏

Every night an elder in my apartment and I are sewing or hemming something. He bought a shirt that was too big, so we made it smaller and it looks crazy good. Like nothing even happened! Now we are making ties. I got a floral fabric from Hobby Lobby that I'm using for my tie.

Spiritual thought:

This week has been crazy. So much turmoil in this world right now. When I heard about this I could be shaken and confused or I could be still. In this world, people are always wanting more. We see people who want us to do more and more.

I was exploring the Gospel Library app (shameless plug) and saw this awesome magazine excerpt that said,
"But when the world demands “more, more, more!” Heavenly Father invites me to “be still, and know that [He is] God” (Psalm 46:10)."
I love this so much. I have a hard time being still. I'm sure you all know this. But I have seen in my mission that as I turn to God by praying and reading the scriptures I can be still. I LOVE BEING STILL! Which is crazy for me to say. I love how we get invited to be still.

I love you guys so much! Email me back! We have district p-day today so it might take me a while to respond but send em anyway!

Love,
Elder Clayburn
